Hi, I’m Meredith. Most of my friends and family members typically call me Merry or Mere, hence the blog’s name! I’m 27 years old and in the last year my life has changed quite a bit! I just relocated back home to the USA after living in Australia for 9 months, and prior to moving to Australia, I lived in Boston, Massachusetts for four years. Now currently I reside right where I grew up, back in Maine with my family.
Moving abroad was a life-changing experience for me and I truly wouldn’t trade it for the world. I made great friends, great memories with my boyfriend, did a great deal of traveling, and I got to study exercise science in a foreign country. Plus, moving that far away helped me truly appreciate the things that matter most in life. Things like family, true friends, health, and happiness.

So, fast forward to today and I’m currently continuing to take pre-requisites to get into my desired Master’s Program next fall. If you asked me a year ago where I’d be and what I’d be doing, I would have never in a million years told you this, but I’m so happy I took a leap of faith and left corporate America to follow my dreams and my heart.
Besides being back in school, I’m managing the ice-cream shop/restaurant I used to work at all through high-school and college. I love ice-cream, I love my boss, and I enjoy being around people and the hospitality industry so truly it’s the perfect fit for me.
In my spare time, I love to exercise, and I also love to cook and bake. Exercise wise, I truly love running, but also enjoy walking, elliptical workouts, weight-lifting, circuits, body-pump, body-attack, really anything that gets me moving!
Cooking wise, I’ve learned everything from my Mom. She’s a nutritionist who has taught me how to cook delicious, healthy-for-you food without compromising the taste!
I started my blog as a creative writing outlet to help me get my mind off of “finanical” writing at the end of a work day, and help me focus on the things I love, including cooking, baking, and health/wellness. Over the last few years, my blog has truly become a cookbook for me to resort back-to, and a journal of special events in my life. While I don’t post everyday or sometimes even every week, I do as often as possible. My love of writing and being in the kitchen are two things that won’t ever go away, so I’m excited to share recipes, stories, and ideas with you. Thanks for reading :)
